A Christmas Carol Theatre Tickets London
The well-known and much-loved play, A Christmas Carol, has been adapted as a West End musical by Susie McKenna, with an original score by Steven Edis. This duo has won many awards for its work on Christmas productions at the Hackney Empire, and will wow audiences anew with this enthralling tale of a man and his journey to rediscover the love he's lost for the marvellous time that is Christmas.
This is a different slant on the famous tale, however, in which Sidney and his nephew, Danny, find themselves in a tricky situation that requires them to perform A Christmas Carol for an eager audience, with only the help of a pair of unemployed actors, the theatre's resident cat and a mouse that suffers from stage fright.
This West End musical will be playing at the Arts Theatre in London from Wednesday 25th November 2009 until Sunday 10th January 2010.
The Arts Theatre
The Arts Theatre was built in 1927 to a design by P Morley Holder and started life as a members club to avoid the censorship of the Lord Chamberlain. It was the first London home of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
This unique and intimate venue regularly hosts short-running productions, one-man shows and three or four-player pieces. The theatre is small, comfortable and atmospheric, and the small stage encourages creative use of space.
The theatre is independent and is now owned by Carlo Mattiucci. Following a £250,000 refurbishment, the venue hosts not only new, innovative and revival plays and musicals, but also comedy, music, dance and other unique and original stage performances.
