Thriller Live the Musical is more like a concert than a traditional London musical, with several actors taking on the lead role of Michael Jackson at various stages of his life, backed up with a sensational live band, and featuring stunning choreography from five time MTV Award-winning LaVelle Smith Jr.

Lyric Theatre

C. J. Phipps designed the Lyric Theatre, which opened in 1888 and was initially intended to serve as an operetta venue for Henry J. Leslie. Over the years, dramas, musicals and comedies have been successfully performed here. It is now a grade II listed building that holds the title as the most elderly London theatre to survive on Shaftesbury Avenue. In 1932-33 it underwent extensive renovations to its interior, and in 1994 the exterior was refurbished.

The Lyric Theatre mostly stages comedies and light dramas, and some notable past productions include The Little Hut, Five Guys Named Moe, Blood Brothers, Steel Magnolias, Death of a Salesman and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

The show currently being performed at the Lyric Theatre is Thriller Live! a high-energy musical that celebrates the life and talents of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The show is on Tuesday to Sunday at 8pm, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 4pm and 3pm respectively.

This theatre is at 29 Shaftesbury Ave, London, W1D 7 ES, and seats 932 on 4 levels. The closest rail station is Charing Cross, and nearest Underground station is Piccadilly Circus.
